Visual Perceptual Disorder
Having 20/20 or 6/6 vision during a regular eye screening does not indicate a child does not have a visual perceptual disorder. These visual perceptual skills are necessary for one to process, interpret and make meaning from the visual information.
A child with a visual-processing disorder may demonstrate difficulty discriminating between certain letters or numbers, putting together age-appropriate puzzles, and generally dislike playing with puzzles, or toys that require visualisation. Due to the poor perceptual skills, reading comprehension will be difficult.
At Vision and Learning Developmental Practice, we provide the latest equipments and skills to assess a child's eye tracking matched with norms, visual perceptual skills, visual information processing skills, and more to fully understand their learning abilities.
